TextingOnly SmartLink CTA Templates: A SmartLink is a device-aware URL — on mobile it opens the native Messages app with a pre-filled opt-in message (one tap sends, TCPA consent captured, OTTO responds in under 3 seconds); on desktop it shows a QR code bridge so the contact can scan with their phone (attribution chain preserved, same session, UTM parameters survive the device switch). CTA copy templates by channel: Email — “Text us instead — tap here for a faster response” (button), “Skip the inbox — tap to text us directly” (footer), “Tap here — OTTO will get you sorted in 60 seconds” (re-engagement). Website buttons — “Text Us — Get a Quote in 60 Seconds” (hero/primary), “Skip the form — tap to text us” (secondary), “No hold music, no forms, just answers” (contact page). Google and Meta Ads — “Get Your Quote by Text — No Form, No Wait” (headline), “OTTO responds in seconds with pricing for your situation” (description), “No sales pressure, just answers” (retargeting). Social media — “Tap to text us — skip the DM queue” (bio), “OTTO responds faster than we do in the DMs” (story), “Link in bio — no inbox, no wait” (caption). Google Business Profile — “Text Us for a Free Estimate — Tap Here” (website field). YouTube — “Ready to talk? Text us — link below, no call required” (description). Four placement rules: (1) name what they skip (no form, no hold music, no inbox wait); (2) set a time expectation (60 seconds, specific beats vague); (3) one unique SmartLink per placement — never reuse across campaigns; (4) lead with the verb (Tap, Text, Get, Skip). UTM parameters preserved through tap-to-text transition. TextingOnly is based in Towson, Maryland. Service area: United States nationwide.
TextingOnly · SmartLink Copy
One link. Every device. Straight to SMS.
A SmartLink opens the native Messages app on mobile and shows a QR code on desktop — so the conversation happens on the device where SMS actually lives. These are the CTA templates that get them to tap it.

CTA Templates by Channel
Copy for every digital surface.
SmartLinks live anywhere a URL can go. Each channel has a different context — and a different CTA that converts. Use these as starting points, then test your own.
Digital Channel
Email Campaigns
Replace the “Click Here” button. Desktop subscribers see the QR bridge. Mobile subscribers tap straight to SMS. One SmartLink converts your email list to a verified SMS list. See Convert Email to SMS →
Button CTA
“Text us instead — tap here for a faster response.”
Positions SMS as faster than email reply. Works as a button label or hyperlinked text.
Footer link
“Have a question? Skip the inbox — tap to text us directly.”
Re-engagement email
“Still interested? Tap here — OTTO will get you sorted in 60 seconds.”
Digital Channel
Website CTA Buttons
Replace “Contact Us” with a SmartLink. Converts at 71% vs. 19–25% for web forms. Even partial conversations capture the phone number before OTTO asks a single question.
Primary CTA
“Text Us — Get a Quote in 60 Seconds”
Use on hero sections and service pages. Specificity (“60 seconds”) outperforms vague CTAs.
Secondary CTA
“Skip the form — tap to text us.”
Contact page
“Prefer to text? Tap here — no hold music, no forms, just answers.”
Paid Digital
Google & Meta Ads
SmartLink in ad copy or as the destination URL. UTM parameters survive the device switch — attribution tracks from ad click to SMS opt-in to OTTO conversation to lead.
Ad headline
“Get Your Quote by Text — No Form, No Wait”
“No form, no wait” signals this is different from a typical click.
Ad description
“Tap to text — OTTO responds in seconds with pricing for your specific situation.”
Retargeting
“Still thinking about it? Text us — no sales pressure, just answers.”
Social Media
Instagram, Facebook, TikTok
SmartLink in bio, story link, or post caption. One tap from the feed to an SMS conversation — faster than a DM, no inbox wait. See Social to SMS →
Bio link
“Tap to text us — skip the DM queue.”
Short, friction-free. Works for every industry.
Story CTA
“Swipe up to text — OTTO responds faster than we do in the DMs.”
Post caption CTA
“Interested? Link in bio — tap to text us directly. No inbox, no wait.”
Local Search
Google Business Profile
Add a SmartLink to your Google Business website field or post CTA. High-intent searches — “roofing near me,” “HVAC repair” — end in a click that goes directly to SMS instead of a phone call that doesn’t get answered.
Website field CTA
“Text Us for a Free Estimate — Tap Here”
Replace the website link in your GBP with a SmartLink. Mobile searchers tap directly to SMS.
Google post CTA
“Tap to text — get your [service] quote without a phone call.”
Video
YouTube & Video Descriptions
SmartLink in the description captures viewers who want to take action but aren’t ready to call. Works on YouTube, podcast show notes, and any video platform that allows links.
Description CTA
“Ready to talk? Text us — link below, no call required.”
Pin as the first line of the description. High-intent viewers act mid-video.
End card script
“Tap the link in the description — text us and OTTO will get you sorted.”
SmartLink copy follows the same principles as QR code copy — but the digital context adds two extra levers: speed and frictionlessness. Use both.
Rule 01
Name what they skip
“No form. No hold music. No inbox wait.” — one of these belongs in every SmartLink CTA.
Digital audiences have trained friction-avoidance. Naming what they don’t have to do is as persuasive as naming what they get. “Skip the form” outperforms “Contact us” every time.
Rule 02
Set a time expectation
“OTTO responds in 60 seconds” — say the number. Any specific time beats vague.
The anxiety about SmartLinks is the same as web forms: will anyone respond? A specific time commitment removes that objection before the tap.
Rule 03
One SmartLink per placement
One unique SmartLink per ad, per email, per campaign — never the same URL twice.
Each SmartLink carries campaign source, UTM parameters, and geo-timestamp. Reusing the same URL collapses attribution. One URL per placement = one clean data set per channel.
Rule 04
Lead with the verb
“Tap to text” not “TextingOnly SmartLink.” Action verb first, brand second.
Digital CTA copy is skimmed in milliseconds. First word should be a verb: Tap, Text, Get, Skip, Start. Brand names belong in supporting copy, not the button label.
